Newsletter Issues: The Turnaround Stock Report

September 2015 issue: In this month’s issue I am recommending a speculative small cap biotech concern whose recent stock price decline has not stopped insiders from scooping up shares on the cheap. Click here.

August 2015 issue: This month we are adding a small cap homebuilder that has years of growth ahead of it as the domestic housing market continues to strengthen. Click here.

July 2015 issue: This month we’re adding a small cap pharmaceutical firm that got taken to the woodshed back in 2013 after failing a Phase III clinical trial. Seasoned pharmaceutical investors know those Phase III clinical trials can be make or break for many companies. This one survived, but investors took a big haircut. Now we’re swooping in to pick up shares on the cheap. Click here.

June 2015 issue: We’re still finding some pockets of value. This month we highlight two stocks that offer potential significant upside in an overbought value and should find success in the second half of the year barring any severe macroeconomic event.  Click here.

May 2015 issue: This month we’ve added two bigger more well-known names to the portfolio. Both are well on their way through their transitions but the stocks still have further upside as the companies continue to execute against their turnaround plans.  Click here.

April 2015 issue: The markets are pretty much where they were a month ago after Friday’s big drop and renewed concerned around Greece exiting the European Union as well as some unexpected regulatory changes around the Chinese stock markets. This month we’re buying two stocks that are classic turnarounds. Click here.

March 2015 issue: March has been one of the more volatile months we’ve seen in some time. That notwithstanding, many of our core holdings are doing quite well. We are however adopting a new profit and loss policy as well as jettisoning two of our laggards and taking the losses. Click here.

February 2015 issue: This month we’re adding true special situations stocks. The first is a very, very speculative biotech stock that could give us returns in the multiple hundreds of percents. The second is a quintessential turnaround story in the REIT space: this firm has already put out much of it’s financial and managerial capital to turnaround and is poised to benefit in the next year. Click here.

January 2015 issue: Stocks have gotten off to a very rocky start in the New Year. Equities are now down some four percent from their recent highs. Volatility has increased markedly in the opening stanza of the year. The turmoil in the markets could continue for a while as the outlook for global growth remains tepid at best at the moment. Japan is going through a contraction, Europe continues to struggle to post any economic growth even as new Greek elections loom large on January 25th and no one trusts that China is actually growing at seven percent annually. Click here.

December 2014 issue: The news, and not just the financial news, has been pretty much all about oil; more specifically the collapse in the oil price since summer and the positive and negative repercussions associated with it. Consumers have more spending money, domestic oil producer’s stock prices are tumbling, and Russia’s currency is on the skids. Should make for an interesting holiday season. This month we’re adding a top notch company that’s a classic “baby thrown out with the bath water” firm related to the energy sector and another biotech after our two big wins in Small Cap Gems. Click here.

November 2014 issue: This month we add to two new selections in different sectors to continue to diversify our portfolio. One is a small pharma play that could be one of the weirder winners from the recent mid-term elections. The other is an American manufacturer icon whose impressive turnaround effort since the financial crisis got delayed in 2014 due to a detrimental recall effort. This dirt cheap stock should get back on the road to recovery in 2015 however.  Click here.

October 2014 issue: As anticipated in September, we’re seeing much better entry points for the kinds of stocks I’m adding to the portfolio. With these better entry points we’re accelerating the build-out of our portfolio and adding two new additions this month. One is an extremely oversold domestic energy play transitioning from being primarily an oil firm to becoming a heavy hitter in natural gas. The other is a drugmaker with a proven solution to Hepatitis B. The share price was crushed earlier when the FDA and the EU declined to approve it: not because the drug didn’t work but because the sample size was too small. The company has recruited over 8,000 test subjects and is expected to get back into the approval process in 2015.  Click here.

September 2014 issue: The chances to get lower entry points in some segments in the market are highly probable and we want to take advantage of any declines. August was a great month for investors. September has seen the markets struggle a bit at current levels and October should be a critical month with Federal Reserve actions and with third quarter earnings coming in to determining whether the market can go higher from near record levels. The coming months should provide us with enough excellent entry points to add two or three new positions a month. In the meantime we’re jumping on one such opportunity with a domestic energy producer with a real game plan for getting it’s act together. Click here.

August 2014 issue: the two names already in the portfolio have had a challenging couple of weeks since inclusion into the portfolio. This is not surprising given the increasing volatility in the market and the up and down nature of turnaround stories in general. We’ll get to more about them in the Portfolio Update section a little further in this month’s letter. Our newest addition is a European turnaround with massive exposure to a growing sector in North America. Click here.

July 21, 2014 issue: with the inaugural issue of The Turnaround Stock Report we’ll cover our investing strategy and do deep dives on two small cap oil industry firms turning things around. Click here.
