New York Post
Site of the Week: InvestorsAlley.com
By Dena Joseph
Sunday, August 5, 2001

INVESTORSALLEY.com, which claims to "bring you behind the headlines," is a resource that provides breaking business and financial news on Wall Street and on global stock markets.

And, as promised, the site features analysis on stocks in the news. You can get a full wrap-up on fundamental and technical analysis on different stocks. There are also expert opinions on various stocks - all available for free.

Investorsalley offers an abundance of commentaries and tools and runs daily features - including Economic Calendar and Bonds Today.

The Investorsalley Newsroom is a one-stop shop for any and all news stories about publicly traded stocks. There's also a wrap-up at the end of the day, which cites the most-active, most-up and most-down stocks and the trends that drove trading that day. The Newsroom also has stories on the bond and currency markets. Investorsalley's Street Talk Forums allow users to communicate with investors around the globe on special financial message boards. One of the features, Ask the Expert, lets users participate in chats with special guests. It's a great way to get your questions about the market answered by people in the know.

Another section of the site, Information, is designed for those who aren't yet savvy about business and investing. This educational section enables users to learn financial jargon and get novice investing information.

But experienced investors will skip right over that in favor of another section called Portfolios, where users can either set up and monitor their own portfolios or follow along with an Investorsalley portfolio, which has been consistently beating the broad market averages like the Dow Jones industrial average and the S&P 500 index.

Both inexperienced and experienced investors can learn more about the markets by participating in the site's stock-picking competition, in which users set up portfolios and compete for the highest returns. The big winner after six weeks can win $25,000.

In other words, if you are any type of investor, from novice to pro, this "must-see-resource" is right up your alley.
